Sources and method
How the facts on this site were collected, what could not be checked, and the most important source links.
Every price, limit and version on this site comes from a research pass finished on 15 Oct 2026. This page explains how that research was done, where it is weak, and which sources matter most. Last checked 15 Oct 2026.
Method
The research followed a fixed order. Official sources always win over community claims when they disagree.
| Order | Source type | How it was used |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Official docs, pricing pages, help centers, vendor blogs | First source for every price, limit, version and prompt syntax |
| 2 | Checkout pages seen by the site owner | Screenshots taken on 15 Oct 2026 in Vietnam for Dreamina and Kling plans |
| 3 | Hands on tests and creator write ups | Workflows, take counts, real costs, failure modes |
| 4 | Posts on X | Sentiment, complaints and shared workflows from 1 Aug to 15 Oct 2026 |
| 5 | Third party articles and comparisons | Only where no official figure existed, and always labeled |
How facts are labeled on the site:
- No label means an official source states it.
- "Third party" means it comes from a reseller, competitor or review, often with a reason to push one tool.
- "Reported by users" or "community" means creators said it, not the vendor.
- "Not confirmed" means the research could not find it on an official page.
- "Consensus" means at least three independent sources agree. "Single source" means one test or one author.
Some official pricing pages render prices in the browser only and did not load for the research tools (Dreamina, kling.ai membership, wan.video, pixverse.ai, vidu.com plans). Those consumer plan prices are the weakest part of the data. Where the site owner saw the checkout page directly, those numbers are used instead.
How X was searched
Posts were collected two ways: through an X API client (Top results, 1 to 2 pages per query, 34 query files) and through a browser based X search tool on the site owner's Chrome profile (2 runs, including Vietnamese language posts). The window was 1 Aug to 15 Oct 2026. A second pass on 15 Oct 2026 ran fresh X API queries for the video from code, Blender and fonts pages (58 more query files), alongside official docs and articles for those topics.
Reddit could not be read directly
Reddit was blocked for every research tool at the network level. reddit.com, old.reddit.com and the Reddit API all refused the requests, the fetcher was turned away by a bot wall, and the search tool rejected reddit.com as a domain. No claim on this site is quoted from a Reddit thread.
Reddit opinion reaches this site only secondhand, through articles that summarize it. Those articles do not link specific threads, so treat their views as indirect. The two used most:
- AI Tool Discovery: AI video generator Reddit guide (updated 2 Oct 2026)
- Nemo Video: Reddit recommendations
How sponsored posts were filtered
Most high reach AI video posts on X in this window were paid or coordinated. Each post was tagged before it was used.
| Tag | What it means | Example signals |
|---|---|---|
| Organic | No disclosure, no campaign pattern, usually a candid or mixed verdict | Side by side tests that admit a loss, complaints, posts that show settings and cost |
| Sponsored | Disclosed or from the vendor | #ad, #partner, #DreaminaPartner, #klingECP, [PR], "comment GUIDE" funnels |
| Likely promo | No disclosure, but matches a campaign | Same numbers and phrasing from many accounts on the same day, waves within hours of a vendor post |
Patterns that were filtered out:
- Identical copy across many accounts, for example a "Nike spends 2M USD on a stadium shoot" post repeated word for word by at least 8 accounts.
- Launch waves timed to the hour, for example Wan 3.0 "unlimited" posts from 10 or more accounts within about 6 hours of the vendor post.
- Creator programs that pay in credits (Higgsfield Creator Partnership Program, Kling #klingECP, Dreamina #DreaminaPartner and #DreaminaCPP).
- Get rich framing ("30k USD a month from AI videos").
Only organic posts were used for opinions. When a claim on this site mostly comes from paid posts, the page says so.
